• Growing with our clients as their needs and challenges change.
• Strategic about our clients’ interests.
• Savvy about our clients’ business objectives.
• Tenacious and persuasive in adversarial situations.
• Efficient and precise in getting the job done.
We Believe in being definitive in decisions, expressive in views and being as innovative as our clients are creative.
We Never “Overlawyer”
Most Contracts we receive are never initially fair and are drafted to the advantage of the party drafting the agreement. Lawyers have a tendency to draft in their client’s favor.
You are buying/selling/negotiating/contracting/commissioning/etc. something and you should want to make sure you are getting what you “pay” for. Often agreements look fair to laypersons, look “standard.” It rarely is that way. As contracts are filled with nuance.
So, taking that into consideration, we provide our client’s with our thoughts about the competency and fairness of the agreement and whether it suits the purposes of what you are trying to accomplish. We will make recommendations for changes to the agreement where we feel either the agreement does not reflect the deal you made, is not in line with market terms, is not beneficial to you, contains terms that may be detrimental to you, or needs to change to effectuate your purpose of entering into the agreement, among other conditions. You can then decide whether you want to request/push for those changes or not, that is always your choice.
Any changes we recommend are for
1) making the best deal possible and 2) ultimately trying to protect you from making a bad deal.
We feel that’s the job we are hired for.
